Kia Ora!

I am Mia Ruby and I hold space for reconnection. I am passionate about building bridges to self, to other, and to Papatūānuku, by listening with my heart, bringing attention to what matters, and appreciating what already is magic in you. I have a knack for holding a gentle, empty space for you to unfold layers of feeling and wisdom. I am in love with the alchemical process of transformation and how the heavy stuff of life can be transmuted into space for fresh, juicy new possibilities to emerge!

I am a healer, and my practice is rooted in the mycorrhizal web of human beings and the more than human world that I stand in. I am supported by a lineage of disruptive wise women whose courage and creativity I call forth in my space-holding. What I care about is reclaiming our authenticity and aliveness as beings, and tuning into the resources of our own feelings to make the world we want to live in. I have always longed to know life in it’s rawest, organic nature and I treasure the vulnerable and painful aspects of experience as precious gold for connection and growth. I am a navigator of the dark, the unknown, and the shadowy parts of consciousness such as dreams and visions, which have always fascinated me for their richness of creative potential.

I source love in the space I hold and I believe in the importance of clear and responsible communication so that lasting love can be nurtured. I thrive when I’m in community and I love to weave spaces where people can show up as they are. I am a researcher of the divine feminine, the menstrual cycle, the nature of consciousness, family dynamics and human development, and deep ecology. I am also a poet, gardener, and kitchen experimenter.

I love questions. Some that are alive in me currently are:

How does it go to really be with myself? With another? With everything?
How does it go to be free of stories?
What comes after patriarchy?
What does it mean to be a woman?

I am passionate about adulthood initiation and discovering what that can look like beyond the false paradigm presented by modern culture. I have a roaring fire for empowerment of women to come home to themselves, and I care that women’s true voices and everythingness come forth so young girls may grow into communities where the diversity of women’s expressions is witnessed.

I am in ever-increasing awe of the preciousness of each conversation I get to be part of in this life. It would be an honour and a joy to hold space for the unique shape of your soul to shine!
